Issue 8 - One of the hottest DTC events this year

If you’re a DTC operator and in New York next Wednesday, we hope you are also going to be attending The Whalies, a premier 500-person event put on by Triple Whale

The one-day event has a killer agenda that starts at 8am and runs until 5pm across two stages. Stick around until midnight for the Deep Dive Awards Gala

Unfortunately if you’ve waited this long to grab a ticket you won’t be able to attend the event in person (this time). You can, however, stream the main stage on X (Twitter) if you want to catch keynotes from Harley Finkelstein of Shopify, Jimmy Kim of Sendlane, Jeff Raider of Harry’s Razors, and Nik Sharma of Sharma Brands (to name a few). 

We recently caught up with Triple Whale Co-Founder and COO Maxx Blank to ask him a few questions about event this year. 

DTC Times: What is the main theme or what can an attendee expect to learn the most about at the Whalies?

Maxx: Killer DTC strategies, from some of the best in the game!

DTC Times: If a DTC operator or founder asked you for 1 clear reason why they should attend, what would you say?

Maxx: From the content, to the 500 extraordinary attendees, to the after-party
 this is an EPIC event you don’t wanna miss!

DTC Times: What are you personally most excited about at the event this year?

Maxx: Sitting on stage with the legendary Harley Finkelstein, President of Shopify. As he’s been a role model to so many of us, I’m super excited to have him share his advice on how to succeed as a DTC brand!

DTC Times: Aside from keynotes, what would you advise a first-time DTC attendee to do/seek out at the event?

Maxx: Our Slack channel is already fired up, with attendees getting to know each other. Seek out what is most beneficial for you at the event (other brand owners, agencies, vendors, etc), and ensure you set up a packed day for yourself with the right people! 

DTC Times: What are three key takeaways you want every person leaving the event with?

Maxx: Practical tips to grow their brand, better support system of peers and mentors, and an awesome energy boost to kickstart unprecedented growth!

DTC Times: What changes or updates have you made to the event over time based on prior experiences?

Maxx: 

  1. Location – NYC is more central than Austin

  2. Content – broader, more options, and some higher-profile speakers

  3. Innovation – Huge announcements around how AI can help everyone scale their businesses!
